Last Weekend, Next Weekend to Come

I went back to Chicago last weekend and hung out with some friends.  I was supposed to go to the Fire game in Bridgeview on Saturday, but other things came up.  This coming weekend brings a show at the punk house in Urbana.  A couple people are coming down from Chicago to see the show, so it'll be fun to hang out with them and possibly go to a bar after the show, depending on when it ends.  The thing is, the time between them is going to be occupied by hours upon hours of hard-working all-nighters.  Time to hit the coffee, smokes, and books.

FIRE!

The weekend was decent, I went out Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights.  Today the Fire played at home and won 1-0 in a good match.  I really wanted to go home for the weekend so I could see it with my own two eyes, but I didn't have the money.  However, I'm going to be writing about the Fire for my friend Eric's zine, which is sold throughout the country.  While I'm on the topic of my work in print, I was recently in two issues of the Daily Illini.  They published some of my opinions on the tobacco and cigarette taxes, and people that I didn't even know told me that they liked what I had to say.  Pretty cool.
